A Helping Hand companions are educated, thoughtful individuals who are motivated and committed to providing the best service possible. Applicants must possess the highest degree of integrity, refined communication skills, a passion for working with older adults, and a commitment to superior customer service. A compassionate disposition is essential, as is the natural ability to treat clients with care, respect, and dignity.
The majority of our companions hold at least a bachelor’s degree and many have post-graduate education. Companions include stay-at-home moms, retirees that have led active professional lives, and college students who are preparing for careers in healthcare, social work, or public health.
A Helping Hand companions undergo a thorough screening process, including a comprehensive background check, driving record check, and one-on-one interview process.
If you have a passion for working with older adults and wish to improve the quality of life of others in our community, we invite you to join the Helping Hand family.
