Our non-profit organization serves people of all income levels. Those who are unable to afford the private pay program can apply to be served through our charitable program. Priority is given to those who need to access healthcare, get groceries or need medication reminders.
Clients in the charitable program are eligible to receive 2 to 3 hours per week assistance, subject to volunteer availability. Grants and contributions also support those who need subsidized services.
Teams of volunteers from civic organizations, faith communities and campus clubs participate in the program by providing a morning of assistance with housework or yard work. There is no charge to the care recipient for these services.
Last year, 35 percent of our clients received assistance through the charitable program because of generous donors and volunteers. A Helping Hand allocated 96.5 percent of its revenue to program services.
