A Helping Hand (AHH) promotes the highest level of independence and quality of life for older adults. The agency also cares for younger adults who need temporary or ongoing assistance due to an accident, illness, injury or disability. A Helping Hand serves nearly 400 clients annually. 

Services

AHH is a fully insured and bonded agency that provides a wide array of non-medical in-home services, as well as transportation. AHH operates a private pay and a charitable program, extending assistance to people of all income levels. Services are available 24/7, and can be adapted  to meet your changing needs. The service area includes Orange, Durham, Chatham and Western Wake counties. Transportation is provided across county and state lines. AHH also provides travel companions who can accompany clients to family and class reunions and other special events.

The office of A Helping Hand is located at 1502 W. NC Hwy 54, Suite 405, Durham, NC 27707.  It is located 0.8 of a mile east of the intersection with I-40, in the New Hope Court office complex between Dresden Drive and Biscayne Road.
